My wife has a milder case of Swine Flu now......I am being serious by the way. :/

dont worry, I have had it, it is rubbish. Unless you have a pre-existing medical condition (mental doesn't count...)
2009-07-06 21:47:07
My wife has the mental condition alright....she married me. lol

Apparently she is over the worst of it, worried our little girl will get it though as shes only 3.

I must admit to being worried, as my mum and dad both have illnesses that could have an impact, although both are old enough to have an immunity from the last outbreak 50 years ago. I'd imagine that the girl at work who has asthma should have nothing to worry about though.

As for the majority of the population, swine flu kills a smaller percentage than normal flu, so it should probably be called "flu worth catching if you have to have one", or maybe "happy flu" ?

I am not worried about my wife really, my mum inlaw has an existing illness and my Dad has had two kidney transplants in the past and the tablets he took were used to destroy his immunity so that he did not reject his kidney. Obviously I worry about our little girl due to her age only.

all the best with that, but it really isnt a problem unless there are lung issues...

Ok thanks. ;)

I had really bad flu at Christmas and my wife is not as bad as that. Hopefully it will not spread throughout my family, apparently after the first 48 hours they aren't contageous anymore.

Man flu is far worse than an advanced brain tumours though! ;-)
2009-07-06 21:56:35
It was actually the illest I have been before, I was a wreck for about a month as it went to my chest and sinuses afterwards. Man Flu is awful FACT. ;)

I hear you brother!

With all these names for flu coming out....Whats next?

Capybara flu?

possibly...

Just had a check on this thread as it appears my brother (who I work and live with) has it too. He left the house this morning feeling a little unwell, soon returned and felt terrible - on the Tamiflu and bed-rest now though. He's 21 and very fit, but has always had asthma, so it's a concern. Also bloomin' inevitable that I'll get it in due course!

Best wishes to Mrs Wdp and family, and anyone else suffering. If Jaize can surive it then the rest of us should be ok though.

Thanks and I hope your brother feels better soon, the syptoms seem to get a bit better after 3 days if that helps?

Looks like it's spreading on a quite fast rate?
