Subject: I nearly got fired

I was devestated, the other day when my boss called me into his office and said he was going to fire me. I broke down in tears and begged him to reconsider. Imagine what a fool I felt when I suddenly remembered that I am the human cannon ball at the circus, and my boss was merely offering to help me practice.
