163? Not too bad. That would be in the top third in our fun league. Mine at the end of last season was 150, which is about 10 less than the season before. I need a new ball.

I don't think "rubbish" is an appropriate description of my contribution - I've been much harsher than that. I suggested to Mark we should attack Daphne rather than CJ on the final subject, and that backfired as he'd have gone for 24 over 18 (none of us had heard of Guy Gibson, and both James & Will agreed with my logic for some reason). Paul was torn between 18 and 24 with no real preference, so I hold my hands up there.

It's worth adding that questions were cut from the final edit for all the head-to-heads. Two for both Will and James, and one from Mark. All of those could, on another day, have gone our way - then it would finally have been 5 vs CJ.

As for bowling, I'm in a league at Heathrow Airport. Since the turn of the year I've been dire, which has dragged my avg right down. It's good fun though, glad to hear someone else does it.

I bowl at the one opposite the Kassam Stadium. Never entered an outside competition before, but reading the new edition of Tenpin it looks as if an FA style cup will start soon, founded by family friend Stan at Aylesbury! Very interesting i think.

I've been there; one of our friends went in his slippers and the look on the lurch-like receptionist's face when he handed them over to get his bowling shoes was priceless. It went all u/v half-way through the night too!
