Castiel [del] to All
I have ordered some new memory as i only have 1gb and i wanted 2 Gb while i was looking in the pc i noticed that i have what looks like Yellow slot with my current memory in but beside it i also have red slot with nothing in are the red slots also memory so that i could put the new memory in and end up with 3 gb memory

usually you will have 2x yellow, and 2x red.

IF you have two modules you would be put them in both reds or both yellows and this would put the memory into dual channel configuration, making it slightly more efficient.

You can put 3 modules in without too much issues, so go for it if you want to.

at the moment i have 2 500 mb memory in each of the yellow so i can then put the 2 1gb memory in the red and that will be ok
