Subject: Biscuit World Cup

2009-06-08 23:58:17
Its fascinating init. If were to have another biscuit World Cup in 4 years time, or 2 seasons sokker style. I assume someone is working out the biscuit ranking for proper seeding to avoid groups of death as much as possible.

Next season you should expand into world region qualifying. Then RogIronfist might round up some support for his dog biscuits in time for another shot at it...

Group B

Hobnobs......................................W3.....D0.....L0.....9pts
Digestive.....................................W2.....D0.....L1.....6pts
Duchy Original Choc and Orange.....W1.....D0.....L2.....3pts
Oreos..........................................W0.....D0.....L3.....0pts

So Hobnobs top the group being the only biscuit so far to win all their matches, while Oreos prove to be as popular as Fig Rolls!

Hobnobs will will face the formidable Viennese Whirls in the next round; Digestives take on Shortbread, the surprise winner of Group A

Group C

Ginger Nuts..................2.....0.....0....28....23.....6
Custard Creams...............1.....0.....1....29....25.....3
Caramel Digestives...........1.....0.....1....25....26.....3
Party Rings..................0.....0.....2....23....31.....0

The match between caramel & custard is a big one, so have set 9pm thursday as close of polls

Ginger Nuts vs Party Rings
Top meets bottom in what should be a straight forward match. Ginger Nuts are favourite and guaranteed for qualification. Party Rings have already failed to make it through to the next round

Caramel digestives vs Custard Creams
Both biscuits are on 3pts and a win for either will see them through. Custard Creams have the better vote difference, so would settle for a draw

cannot believe jammy dodgers are out. They were my dark horses for the championship.

I know I'm not exactly part of the forums;
but I find this Biscuit World Cup thing hilarious.

It's just a shame that Party Rings are already out, they were my favourite.

Aye, they are one of the tastiest rings i've had the pleasure of eating. All forum newcomers are welcome*, don't be afraid!

*sort of.

Thanks :)

I'm also new to sokker, joined last week.
It's addictive, however I feel I will fail miserably like
Oreos and party rings of Division IV :')

Well if nothing else good comes out of the BWC, at least that analogy has made it all worth while.

"I got promoted to div II this season. It's going to be like Fig Rolls v Viennese Whirls every week."
2009-06-10 17:22:01
im an oreo of div 4 and i am gettin premoted this year, build your team up, the challange will come in div 3 my friend

that actually IS Imran!
2009-06-10 19:37:56
The one being slapped obviously. I'm surprised it ended with a mere slap, actually called 'Kafa'.
2009-06-10 19:48:19
I am sure Imran would argue he is the slapper rather than the slappee though.
