Subject: Biscuit World Cup

2009-06-07 17:33:48
This bleeming contest is rigged... a sham! Woppa and Dylaos each are on McVitie's pay-out and opened multiple Sokker accounts just to sway the results! A travesty of justice though not surprising when you consider Dylanos' criminal tendencies and Woppa's cunning. I say let RedJim head up the official inquiry to expose these two frauds!

*munching McVities*

Sure, whatever you say.

Muhuhahahha!

*disperses crumbs*
2009-06-07 17:47:39
Even you are on the take... alas, who will defend justice?

*whispering* @RedJim - although just between you and me, you take their side because you're scared.

This feels like 1984 of the biscuit world.

what in room yum oh yum?
2009-06-07 18:15:34
I'm going to smash the system from the inside. When they're sleeping I'm going to roll them both up inside a giant fig roll and feed it to Jaize, as he likes them so much.

no complaints here, he does.

Group A
Viennese Whirls..........2.....0.....0.....32....19.....6
Shortbreads...............1......1.....0....34.....19....4
Jammy Dodger...........0......1....1.....29....26....1
Fig Rolls......................0....0......2.....12....37....0

Results
Viennese 17 - 7 Figs
Dodgers 14 - 14 Shortbreads
Viennese 15 - 12 Dodgers
Shortbreads 20 - 5 Figs

Tonight:
Viennese v Shortbreads
Dodgers v Figs

With Viennese Whirls through, and Fig Rolls definitely out (a giant killing in my view), both these games have something to play for. A big win for Jammy Dodgers, as the other two managed against Fig Rolls might see them through. Shortbreads need a draw to guarantee progression, but can anyone take any points off the mighty Viennese Whirls?

Group D was definitely the Group of Death (for diabetics)
2009-06-07 20:39:29
I think the Fig Rolls shouldn't be too despondent. After all, with the delicious youth they've got coming through, who's to say what will happen in four years' time?
2009-06-07 20:57:00
I think the knockout stage is looking very interesting. Could see a few pre tournament favourites not even making it through.

lol

Not sure if Woppa will be around to close his polls, but the scores are pretty conclusive in the final matches anyway so as it stands its

Group A

Shortbreads...............W2...D1...L0......7pts
Viennese Whirls..........W2...D0...L1......6pts
Jammy Dodger...........W1...D1...L1......4pts
Fig Rolls.....................W0...D0...L3......0pts

What looks like being a surprise win for Shortbreads means that they will top the group undefeated! Sad to see Jammy Dodgers fail to qualify, as they are something of a legend imo
2009-06-08 18:24:29
Good work sir. Might give the next polls a bit longer owing to the fact there's not much going on on here, match wise.
2009-06-08 18:29:06
Group B
Hobnobs.....................................2.......0......0.....39....20....6
Digestive...................................2.......0.......0......39....22....6
Duchy Original Choc and Orange...0......0.......2.....22...33.....0
Oreos.........................................0.......0.......2.....20...45......0

Results/Fixtures:
Digestives 23 - 12 Oreos
Hobnobs 17 - 12 Duchy Rubbish
Hobnobs 22 - 8 Oreos
Digestives 16 - 10 Duchy

Hobnobs v Digestives
Duchy v Oreos

Only one match left, really. Who's going to finish top?
Who's getting the wooden spoon?
2009-06-08 19:09:14
Just goes to show that if you beat one biscuit, you can't expect to beat the next. After all Jammy Dodgers held shortbreads to a tie but couldn't beat the whirl.

Its fascinating init. If were to have another biscuit World Cup in 4 years time, or 2 seasons sokker style. I assume someone is working out the biscuit ranking for proper seeding to avoid groups of death as much as possible.

Next season you should expand into world region qualifying. Then RogIronfist might round up some support for his dog biscuits in time for another shot at it...
