Subject: Dream Team
give me your team then! maybe we can have boris up front instead of brown.
everyone knows boris is a rotund, salad-dodging buffoon, at school he would be picked last and is therefore a goalie.
Sadly using that principle, my team is as follows.
In goal: The Rt Hon Gordon Brown (a safe pair of hands DO NOT make him captain)
Across the back: Rt Hon Hilary Benn, Rt Hon Jack Straw, Rt Hon Alan Johnson, Rt Hon Harriet Harman QC (generally perceived as good padding, even with the very difficult current fixture list, these guys make less mistakes than most.)
Sweeper: The Lord Mandelson PC (a gifted sweeper, particularly at sweeping things under carpets)
Midfield: Rt Hon Alastair Darling, Rt Hon Tessa Jowell, Rt Hon Ed Balls, Mayor Rt Hon Boris Johnson
Up Front: Rt Hon David Cameron
With this formation 4-1-4-1, two main things are focused upon. 1) To hoof the ball up front at all times without thinking, this avoids the utterly incompetent midfield area and 2) All roads lead to Rome, or in this case Dave, everything is aimed at Cameron as he is the only one on the team with a chance of winning things at the team's next outing.

er, we don't have lefties in British politics anymore.
We have Liberal (really a social democratic stance with a few aberrations towards right wing taxation policy), we have the Conservatives (a centralist party with right wing economic policy but curiously left of centre social inclusion and educational policies - probably just for vote winning) and we have New Labour (now slightly right of centre due to it's economic policy and leaning further that way as all of it's social responsibilities seem to be crumbling around them with every passing day).
A huge void has opened between the tiny number of communist thinkers and the centralist parties all spouting the same rhetoric. Shame really, this country needs action, not just doing things that keep you in power.
Fancy that? A political party that does good for the country, I am not sure it will catch on...

I did not say there was, all I did was strike early to ensure there wasn't. ;)
Therefore it does not happen, it stays in control, and I don't have to moan more than once or potentially close the thread. lol
