OK so the Royal family are good for British Tourism Industry.

What I cannot understand is they obviously have no benefit for Australia nor Canada but they remain the head of state? So what gives?

the republicans in both countries are useless, which is why queen stays as the head of state.

when the british empire ruled them countries, canada australia jamaica etc the head ofstate was the king/queen and its just continued.

And no one from these countries feel their independance is compromised? I mean seriously how can one have a monarch from another country as a the head of state? Fails my logic as they claim to be independant countries.

Canada is ruled by the Conservatives but not Australia... It's funny apparantly the canadian parliament has been dissolved by the Queens envoy to canada. (I just googled). Apparantly the Canadian conservatives did this so as to kill a motion of cvote of no confidence... So it seems that good old British monarchy is directly ruling the Canadians.
