A modified Elizabethan Manor House, located in Westerham in Kent, Churchill bought the place in 1922.
The house has been preserved as it would have looked when Churchill owned it. Rooms are carefully decorated with memorabilia and gifts, the original furniture and books, as well as honours and medals that Churchill received.
Has a wonderful garden, growing roses and vegtables as commisioned by Winston himself.
Hope this helps.

The strange thing its quite shocking..
But as his lfe has been played out in the media so much and we have all seen the state of him, and what he has done to himself over the years, its not really suprising after all.

So not going to see the royals after all
These are all paid attractions, the Royals are what you get for free!... a bit like gonorrhea.
you don't get it, do you. you don't go and see the Royals... they happen around you...
Buckingham Palace you stand outside, so no official figures and the Tower of London has the Crown Jewels which are more royal than the Queen!
The fact remains that the influence, historically and culturally that the monachy has had on the UK, particularly London is undenably a reason for tourists coming to England. For the umpteenth year running the biggest selling tourist piece of tat is a postcard of the Queen for Fawkes sake! I am not saying it is great that we have a Royal Family, but removing them would be impossible - you might as well try to get rid of footie or fish and chips!
Also only two buildings on the list weren't funded, donated to or built buy the royal family...

That is absolutely not true! Only on certain days or hours.
The Tate is free only on Sunday or the weekends or some such and the Natural History and the Victoria and Albert Museums also have some sort of an arrangement like that.
Partially free.
But I agree regarding the Royals.

Most London museums are free for basic entry. You sometimes pay for entry into temporary exhibitions or special events within the Tate, etc. but otherwise entry is free all day everyday.

I'd say that the only one in that list that hasn't been influenced by the monarchy is the Tate Modern. Oh, and I read somewhere the other day that the Monarchy costs 69 p per tax-payer per year. That's a snickers bar and 14 p change.
