Subject: Play The Game

Just been perusing the Times fantasy football thingy, which I did last year. It's a bit different than other ones. I shall now demonstrate.

In each league, there are up to ten teams, each of which has a twenty man squad. All players are placed in a big pool, and are selected one by one by the teams in the league. To this end, you set up a wish list, and the computer picks your first choice in that list, assuming he's still available.

Anyhoo, anyone interested? Declare your interest here, and I might ask for your email address, too. Not sure how it works.


I might be sounding a bit harsh here, too, but as there are only ten spots (nine after me) I'm not going to be employing first come first served if I'm looking to be oversubscribed.

hmmm i played it once and found the pooled players was unsatisfying and the transfer market depressing as only shite players were ever on offer it seemed

Then just pick Wolves, Hull, Birmingham, Burnley and Sunderland players. That'll make you feel at home.
