i think that players over act anyway when tackled, some things will never change. do we want hawkeye everytime a player is tackled? hell no! we dont want the best and most followed game in the world turning into a crappy american football esque sport.

Mate, the 3 challenges was a tongue in cheek comment but equally there needs to be something to redress the blatant cheating and refereeing cock ups - you go back 15 or 20 years and players would go down in the box still, after drawing a foul, whereas now you have player going down like they've been hit by a sniper with no contact at all. The whole simulation thing does not make football the best game in the world.. it detracts from it.

deduct 2 weeks wages for offending players maybe?

There have been hundreds of clear cut dives where no contact is made, yet they choose now to start this? I am not an Arsebal fan but the footballing authorities certainly seem to be casting strange eyes on the English league. :/

To stop diving football needs to go back to its roots. More dog eggs and broken glass in the goalmouth. Sorted.
2009-08-29 08:53:46
So you are saying there is a good likelyhood of the ball turning into an egg?

Oh and fantastic. McGeady sent off with 2 yellows for diving. It just gets better and better
2009-08-30 20:35:11
Ah fair enough.. I have to admit as soon as the match was over I was out walking the dog!

so you didn't see it? are you wenger in disguise? i always suspected it you pseudo-frenchie

Mate, I laughed out loud when I heard! even better was Mowbray blaming Eduardo for McGeady's dive:

"If you put it into context of the week we've just had with the Eduardo sensation, if we hadn't had the week we've had in the media. I would suggest the referee would never have made it a sending off."

Tell me you made up that quote. Please. He can't possibly be that self unaware.
