For Science courses, Aston Uni is good, but Birmingham is a bit of a hole.

If you're a rocket surgeon, then it has to be Oxford or Cambridge. Both beautiful towns. But if it were to be one of those, you would know already :).

Sheffield is a nice city, with 2 good unis.

Oh, and if you like women, I'd say Bournemouth. Great ratio of female to male students. It's mainly Media Studies based though.

nah, i am uneducated, but go for it! ;)

I though that I've read in latest Guardian Weekly, that you're having some problems with universities...you have less places than before, and more want-to-become-students than before...so it might be hard to get into one of English Uni's...or maybe mos is planning for a Erasmus project

Most universities have reserved spots for foreign students. I doubt it will be much of an issue.

some unis have clearing vacancies available, i was approved for 2 unis oxford brooks and another one trough UCAS but because i was late with the reply letter, they denied me now i have to do a clearing course :((

if going through clearing avoid staffordshire university. there are 2 sites, stafford (when it's not foggy its snowy, high male : female ratio, about 7 : 1), and stoke (which closed in 1852, growth industry is boarded up shops)...

Derby, oddly, was ok for me.

You'll have a good time in Cambridge - the Corn Exchange is good for bands usually.

I am in Cambrigde now,

first impression is not very good to be honest I am used to big city's, but its all about yourself how you make it....

It is fair to say that it is not a big city. But it is probably an ideal place to study - very quiet :)... And London is an hour away on the train if you miss diesel fumes and overcrowding.
