How should he be punished? I think a 3 month ban cos he's a *********************

and I support Liverpool

It's one of those isn't it. I remember i think Bellamy and (Alan) Smith stamping incidents in the past, and i'm not sure they got hefty bans. Stamping paticularly on the head is disgusting, and i would like to see him banned for several matches.

What i will say though, is that when i saw it "live" and even the first angle of the instant replay, i thought it was an accident - so you can't fault the referee - but you can clearly see him straighten out his leg for intent.

but the celebration...

And there's that, obviously. It was stupid, ridiculous even, and i think Alan Hansen got it spot on with what he said.

But with recent events (including Tyson at Forest) he should know better and i think the FA need to look in these a bit more.

5 game ban for the combined incidents. He clearly went to stamp on van persie's head and also clearly went to incite the arsenal fans, nearly causing some serious injuries to the arsenal fans, absolute muppet.

Also, sent an email of complaint to the bbc about garth crooks actually condoning what he did and saying he had every right to do it, even bigger muppet.

It says in the Mail on Sunday a wooden stool was thrown at him. What I'm interested to know is: Why bring a wooden stool to a footy match? Did some random Arsenal fan think"Oh, I've got a stool to sell see if a fan wants to buy it" brings it to the game and thinks " Adebayor is being a p****, I'll throw my stool at him?"

rofl

lol there was also a banana threw at him, bit racist but also funny that it was took to the game (don't think you can buy them inside the ground)

stool or banana

Don't see what was wrong with the celebration, if you've heard some of the things Arsenal fans have said about him/at him I'm not surprised he wanted to do something like that, he's not the one who was throwing objects, it's what I don't get about football fans, they're allowed to chant whatever they like throughout a match, but the player isn't allowed to react or do something back?

On the stamp, he should be banned for a minimum of 6 matches.

I'm glad you told us it was wooden.

So if a bunch of hard nuts start threatening you, you would want to run up to them and start aggravating them even more?
It's a good job those stewards were there really

adebayor should be banned for sure, he could have took RVP,s eye out, and it was intentional, adebayor's foot was hanging in the air, then he stomped on purpose so no accident, his celebration was out of order too, he was looking for trouble, he shoud be fined 2 weeks wages and have a hefty ban!

How was Adebayor to know that they were "hard nuts" doesn't seem very "hard" to me if you can't take a footballer celebrating infront of you.

well thats the only reason people have been saying it's okay for what he did. 'He had an ill mannered exit from highbury and the abuse he received was unwarranted so wanted to prove his point he'd scored'

To me, if there were a bunch of chavvy little scrotums standing the other side of the street, i wouldnt throw a brick at them and then go up to them and taunt them, your just asking for a kicking.

Highbury? Don't you mean the Emirates?
