Hey! Excuse me, my friends from England!
All right? I'm sorry for the invasion in your forum…

I’m from Brazil, how you can see, and I have a problem that maybe some of you could help me.
Being more specific, I would like a help from a lawyer or someone that knows the England laws!

I have a cousin that has lived in your country since 2006. She is married with an English guy, and they have a little girl, who is 1 year old.
There is a problem: she is schizophrenic. But it was under control, once she has ever taken the drugs, done the exams etc.
But… with the pregnancy, she had to stop taking the medicines, because it was so strong and would affect the baby. So, she just began having some crisis that turned everybody worried. I’m gonna list you some facts:

1. When she was about to have the baby, she just decided to travel by the Europe! She went to everywhere, and his husband and her mother following her trying to “catch” her. Actually, the baby was eventually born in Germany. The baby still doesn’t has a nationality. Not good, right?!
2. Her mother traveled to England 4 or 5 times, trying to help her. But there is a problem: she thinks her mother dislikes her, and always runs from her. It is a characteristic of this disease.
3. She doesn’t want to take the medicines again. It was simple: just take the drugs and everything would turn ok again! But she didn’t. Her mother talked to the English authorities, but they said that if she doesn’t, nothing they could do.
4. Some days ago, she committed a “crime”: she broke everything in her house, so finally the authorities forwarded her to a clinic. Not because of her problem, but because of her little crime. My cousin asked to the assistant to don’t inform her family in Brazil anything about her. Now, they don’t know where is she, how is she, what are they doing with her.

Everybody here is desperate! I want a help from some lawyer that could told us what to do now. We just want to bring her back to monitor the treatment here in Brazil. We don’t know what they are doing with her there, but we know that if nothing is done, her only way is death.

What do we should do to bring her back?

Thank you!
Greetings from Brazil

You should contact the Embassy of Brasil in London. Here you have the link to it:

http://www.brazil.org.uk/embassy/index.html

the official will try to help you for 100%, that's mostly what he is for - helping Brasilian people in London/England when they have problems.

you can also try the Consulate, I'm not sure whether this is a thing for Embassy or Consulate, so here's the link:

Agreed.

I'm not sure asking for legal advice on a football management sim is the best place really either.

In fact, I'm going to close this topic before anyone makes any representations which shouldn't be given.
