Imran should do the punditry!

as for the ticket price, it will still cost a few quid, sadly...

shame the only consistant decent footie we have played this season was the last ten minutes of that match, fab! All 11 players in the Palace box for 3 minutes and still couldn't score! I think that sums up the season, roll on next year!

Up the Owls!

Having been to a couple of league 1 games this year, I reckon you'll enjoy the extra time on the ball, it gives your guys more time to pick out options. Championship is a much faster pace, and the opposition midfield are in your face all the time. In league 1, they tend to sit back more.

Yeah I must admit not seen much of both teams recently and I thought it was a good game and you were really unlucky.

Best wishes for a swift return next season!!

same to the reds! ;-)

They've finally been relegated to the "normal Premiership", scrapping it out for 5th with Everton, Birmingham and Bolton, then ?
2010-05-02 22:33:04
innit. And have spent so much just to maintain that. I think it will be an interesting summer in Anfield.

They only way they'll sack rafa is if he gets a job with RBS I reckon.
2010-05-02 22:36:57
opening doors for people?

His degree of ineptitude deserves a directorship, surely.
2010-05-03 00:41:33
aye, they could be scrapping with liverpool for a mid tabe place next season. :)

I agree its going to be really tough this summer for Liverpool.

I think they need a change of ownership which would move them into a better direction.

Two owners that don't get on can't be much good for the club....New manager?....I don't know tricky question, he needs money and support.

If I was him I would sell Gerrard and Torres while they are still worth a few quid and have a clear out of the obvious poor players then re-build the team with what we have.

All this talk about a new ground, this can wait for a bit.

Gerrard (when in form) and Torres (when fit) carried Liverpool ...so by my reckoning that pretty much means starting from scratch.

important question; what have livepool won since buying torres?
2010-05-04 01:06:31
I can't believe I'm about to defend a Liverpool player...

1 striker doesn't make a team, if you stuck Rooney with that squad I don't think he'd have won any premiership trophies either.

Too much of your squad is mediocre, this isn't Torres' fault. It's down to your Manager/Owners.
2010-05-04 08:38:37
Personally they shouldn't have sold Alonso.
2010-05-04 09:28:16
totally agree.

more so at Prem level than other divisions you need a team to play a team game, if Gerrard wasn't a scouser, Liverpool would have become a "sleeping giant" years ago.

Not sure how they stop the rot though, they need an Abramovic, someone rich enough to pile in the wedge and so rich a few extra hundred million here and there isn't too much of a problem. Not too many of those chaps/chapesses about...

Personally speaking having the balls to capitalise on their stars and getting talent to take over would be good but I am not sure Rafa has the cojones or clout to be able to do that. I expect some twunt upstairs has said the selling Stevie is a no go area...

Sad really but like the pig derby, it is only fair to give the other team in town a go! ;-)
