Has anybody seen any of this yet? I'm not certain if it's a pilot scheme or whatever but i think it's been done before.
Anyway, i watched Manchester United v Chelsea in The City Arms pub in Oxford on Saturday which was only 1 of 56 pubs in England and Wales screening it in 3D.
I thought it was pretty good, but doesn't really work for football as the general camera angle is too far away to really benefit. I think once the cameramen or producers give more closer shots, like from behind the free kick taker etc it looks really good.
I think it works better in other sports. The boxing demo they had was really good.
Any rich people got their eyes on a 3D TV yet?

I suppose it would look better if the camera angle was lower down... I bet the close ups looked great!
Surely must have been more than 56 pubs showing it in 3D? My local high street had 2 showing it.
I was going to watch it, but they only had 100 pairs of glasses and we got there too late..

I have watched 3D footie since I was young...
True, and we have many shiny, pretty things, including gold pavements.
But still..
But still..
This is the article from my local rag where i found out, not that local rags are 100% accurate (ours is pretty decent).
Incidentally, the pub mentioned in the article was not the one i watched it in, and was even closer to where i live.
"Regulars at The Midget, in Preston Road, Abingdon, were given a glimpse into the future of TV broadcasting when their local became one of just 56 pubs in England and Wales to show Manchester United’s game against Chelsea using the new technology."

You are right. It is real and just like avatar not that realistic in parts...
Still can't beat going to real games with girl's beer and dogburgers.

True that. My next plan is to watch a match in 3D totally wasted.
Could be interesting.

A couple, but there are only a couple of pubs with telly in norfolk.

A few - all on one road, the Prince of Wales road ironically.
