Subject: wahey the lads!
I know Wolves are playing United later, and the scoreline could be similar, but err, oops.
3-0 down at home after 15 minutes!

4-0 down now in early 2nd half but they have reduced Arsenal to 10 men now.
Wigan are winning annoyingly for the other bottom sides.

3-2, 2-2, 5-3, 3-0, 4-4, 2-1 and 4-3. Those are more icehockey than soccer results. But I'm not complaining :) Great comeback by Newcastle.
It'll be alright for Gunners as long as Wolves can hold out! =D
wtf happened with the premier league??? all the betting houses have become rich today :P
That really was some day of football wasnt it!
I left the house with Blackpool 3-2 up, by the time the radio in the car was on Everton were 4-3 up, switches back to the Newcastle game 4-2 as Newcastle get the second penalty and then Wolves go and do that.

I agree... best premiership action for some time! Cant wait for match of the day!
I don't think there'll be a weekend of football this good for years...
Can I just say: WHAT A HIT BY TIOTE!!!!

I can't get the grasp of one thing. How on earth did Barton take it so easily when Diaby attacked him? I'd expect him to kill/rip Diaby into pieces...but not simply crouch on the ground!
Good for Joey.
Good for Joey.
Good for Joey ? The reason he didn't rip into Diaby was because he knew he was in the wrong. That was a shocking challenge and he was very lucky he wasn't at least yellow carded. Just after that Nolan did the same thing to Arsenals keeper that Diaby did to Barton, when trying to get the ball back and didn't even get a card, with the yellow card going to the keeper.
The refereeing team had a shocker in general though. Newcastle had a goal disallowed that shouldn't have been offside, but the 2nd pen shouldn't have been given. I think Wenger was very wise not to comment after the game, as that would have taken much more restraint than Barton has shown.

1. yup, good for him that he didn't stand up and go rampage on Diaby :)
2. the tackle was clear...I mean he went for the ball and got the ball, might've gotten yellow for that one but didn't have to
3. Diaby did a bit more than Nolan. First of all, Nolan did not grab Szczesny's neck and push him to the ground as Diaby did, Nolan 'just' pulled his arm around his neck in attempt for the ball. And Nolan got yellow for that, Szczesny got yellow for not giving the ball away and just running away himself...with the ball.
4. yup, refs did some mistakes. The 2nd penalty might've been a penalty...though not in Premier League ;) Rosicky was making a stupid foulish attempt there, it wasn't Koscielny's 'work'.
Also, a very nice goal by RvP, the disallowed one. Pure genious.

I disagree with you on Barton's tackle. I the think the guy's a p***** but it was a good strong one footed tackle that his trailing foot had no option to come through. He didn't extend his leg out or anything.
