brothers a villa fan, dad's a villa season ticket holder. Absolutely broke my heart to have to break to him that we beat them 6-0 as he was playing cricket, well it didnt at all after all the stick he gave me after they sent us down, same for my brother, i'm not going to stop laughing at him til he cries.

brilliant result for us... After the harsh start against Man U we really needed a strong result. Carol's hattrick should be a huge confidence boost and the whole team now knows that we are god enough to compete at this level once more. we need to put a couple more wins in a row behind us and we should be nicely settled for the season.

well the next 2 games are wolves and blackpool, so we want no less than 4 points from those games as they're going to be around the bottom if things go wrong for us. Hopefully i'll be there for the blackpool game, going for a lads weekend (thursday and friday night) before uni up there, just got to talk a couple of the non-newcastle fans around.

wolves away could be tricky though, a draw wouldnt be disastrous, they held everton yesterday and got a result against stoke. Dont let these teams win at home and beat them at our place and thats 3 points gained on everyone

absolutely quality result for us, totally second string side for us against only a half reserve chelsea side at stamford bridge as well and with Phil Dowd being a div. No doubt it was a blip though and we'll disappoint against stoke and get knocked out to west ham or swansea next round
