2010-04-06 19:56:29
You don't need a health service, except jaize!... sheeesh, you sound like the Obama administration...
You need an operational government that functions better than the current one.

Ohh... and FREE SCOTLAND!

They are all a bad bunch imo, but Labour needs to be replaced.
2010-04-06 20:17:42
this will be a close election imo. In one hand you have the tories saying "what a mess were in" and on the other hand we have labour saying "it would have been a lot worse if they were in charge".

Nightmare. However i may as well burn my vote as it makes piddle difference in my Labour area - people in my area vote Labour because their dad did or still does vote for them - they only vote labour cause their dad and their dad and their dad voted labour. Bloosy people who cannot think for themselves i just dont know.

Also RogIronfist - Scotland IS Free, just not as rich as we could be having to pull the southerners out of the shit all the time with our - yes thats right OUR oil. That very same OIL that was touted to be finished by now according to the 1978 scare mongering when we nearly said "up yours England".

I'm just going to vote for the most interesting sounding non big three candidate come election campaign. "wasted vote" they say, but if everyone changed from that mindset then maybe there could be change.
2010-04-06 22:07:29
Unless the Labour vote collapses in the cities, we're likely to end up with more Gordon Brown, as the most likely result of a hung parliament will be a lib-lab coalition. If they'd let Vince Cable be Chancellor, I could just about live with that I suppose. Brown or Etonian Tory-boy, what an inspired choice...
2010-04-06 22:27:38
I'm pretty sure the Tories will get in over in the seat for my area. People here just seem to vote for them by default.
2010-04-06 23:38:31
Oi! I buy my own health service!
2010-04-07 00:06:05
@rtg - the fact that you're whingeing about the oil is a proof that Scotland is not free. The fact that your sovereign is still that hat lady is proof that you're not free. Restore Scottish royalty and independence from the English crown!

@all - if the choice is between the existing bad and a new bad, then new always wins. Statistically and historically it can be proven that change is the best agent of hope. Besides, it would be nearly impossible to beat the current government in being bad. Not to mention the fact that they are Labour, which is an inherent flaw in itself. You're not voting for the Sir Talbot Buxomly or the by-elections at Dunny-on-the-Wold.

Cameron will be very bad for this country, Brown will be too and Clegg is too inexperienced...

For the first time since I could vote, I see no one to vote for - this is not good!
2010-04-07 09:34:07
Rog i hate to tell you this but about 90% of us in Britain couldnt give two monkeys who is in as they are all shit anyway - they all promise the world and give us feck all.
I reckon the actual turnout for this election may be the lowest for a while as no one gives a toss

I reckon the actual turnout for this election may be the lowest for a while as no one gives a toss

That in itself is worrying as it creates the conditions for nutters to get in - Hitler gained power with about 21 % of the vote in Germany. Mind you, they had proportional representation.
2010-04-07 12:37:33
Aye, my area has been conservative for about 50 years. Even during the Blair walkover it remained conversative with 50%+ So whatever I vote, it won't change local decision, but I'll still vote as we are lucky we can vote, and that we have a strong democracy (frankly a few chicken houses is nothing vs corruption occurring in North Korea or Morocco or Italy for that matter!!)

God know's who I'll vote for. Frankly lab-con both lacking in any policies. Torys got scared pushing paydown of national debt - which is very important but hard to explain to voters - and so have now gone back to basics of tax reductions vs labour via "waste reduction" with labour protecting services via "waste reduction".

If only they could find and destroy all of this "waste"!! Seem to have been talking about it since I was a boy, and probably before then.
2010-04-07 12:43:28
Are you implying we will vote Adolf Hitler into power?

Damn, I wish I could vote, but I don't have a clue who I would vote for :(
2010-04-07 13:26:05
Its all anti voting cr@p. Don't for them...instead of vote for us cuz...dull, dull, dull.

Its easier that way for them.

They are all pap. Not sure why I need to vote in UK election anyway. Doesn't make a difference to me.

Had a few laughs with the Tory campaign in Scotland. "Ive never voted Tory before but they say every child will get a good education" etc etc. Aye right. I could finish the sentance off in many many different ways, all non complimentary. Surely the young uns won't fall for that sh1t?

The only thing that would be of interest, Tory's in, with 2 or none preferably MPs in Scotland. That will give more support to the SNP. Quite unbelievable that the Maggie rule years thought it smart to alienate the Scots, eventually lead to there longest stint out of power in modern politics, doh.
