An opportinuty to say get the **** in there to Oxford United. They'll be playing York in the Blue Square Premier Play-Off Final at Wembley.

This is big news for non-league football and a great advert for English football in general.

So now if you don't know, turn on Sky Sports News. What Luton fans have been doing to the York players is absolutely sickening and i hope they have to play behind closed doors at the very least for a whole season.

Really marred the day :(

Thick tw*ts, the same happened on a smaller scale after hastings united beat (Dover?) in the play-off final and there was a huge fight. Stupidity.

Punish the criminals, not their place of worship.

You can only punish them after they have committed a dreadful offence. When we went there this season the Asians were fighting the Whites within their own fans. Someone was being battered in the stands while the game was on. It was disgusting.

Something like this was well overdue at Luton, the way a section of them operate is a disgrace.

I say no.

I assume Luton Town have applied all the policing and regulations set out by the FA concerning naughty "fans". With that in mind the rozzers should be given nightsticks (in orange of course) to "persuade" these idiots that there is always someone bigger than you...

Also, why is there not a lifetime ban and ASBOs given out for what must be a very antisocial act.

the prison system should be punitive in my opinion...

What Luton fans have been doing to the York players is absolutely sickening

I saw this on the local news last night. What they showed was fans on the pitch, but segregated away from the York players by the police. The York players were in the corner of the pitch, celebrating with their fans, the Luton fans towards the middle. Pretty intimidating I'll grant you, but the police said there were no reports of any arrests or injuries. They also said that the York players had to leave by a different exit, as the player tunnel was surrounded.

All rather daft really. I'd expect Luton to get a heavy fine, but no more.

I think a lifetime ban for entering the pitch is fairly common in the league. That what I think the "season ticket two" got for confronting Gunn during Norwiches' 7-1 defeat last September.

did Delia get banned for wrestling the PA mic from the announcer?
2010-05-04 14:47:16
Sadly not. As a majority shareholder, she is allowed I suppose. And anyway, who would ban / arrest Delia Smith ? The bloke that did that would be living off Tescos sandwiches for the rest of his life !

that was shocking, saw it live when it came on sky sports and thought it was from turkey or something. Was thinking about going to watch Luton when i went off to uni, but noway am i going anywhere near there now. Police did a great job stopping them. Trouble at the Boreham Wood Kingstonian play off final too, player getting punched by a fan.

Boston utd v Bradford PA went off without any incident with over 1000 from each side and totally unsegregated

The stewards deserve particular praise. They don't have weapons or protective gear and they did everything they could.

I know some stewards, believe me, they have weapons...
Yes, they did a very good job. I bet Nick Owen is wondering why he bothers really. A couple of the York players were hit by coins when they tried to leave aswell, which oddly wasn't mentioned on the local news.
2010-05-05 11:24:09
that is because they were pleased at getting tips!
2010-05-05 12:12:51
I didn't think anyone in Luton could afford to throw pound coins around.

probably freshly made ones...
