Lennon is fine, but they play on different sides of the pitch, so no harm there. Joe Cole - when did you saw a top level performance of him? He's out of form, hardly been playing for Chelski, Malouda took his place what say everything I guess. SWP was never as good, I always liked him - but he always lacked something.

Young is pure quality, together with Milner he was my favorite winger throughout this season! Of course Milner was moved to the centre of midfield at some point but still...I also thought that Bale will make it, he had some kick-ass performances in the latter part of the season.

i agree, the potential has always been there, i was confused the way borough prefered downing to johnson at that time.

joe cole has been injured most of the season, been unlucky but he is worth a gamble from what ive seen he has never had a bad performance for england and is a consistant threat and pure quality.

Don't get me wrong, I like J. Cole - he is my all time favorite in PES editions - you know, playing Chelski with all those tough bullies all over the pitch, with one flamboyant winger Cole...was always a pleasure to play like that ;)

But still - I think that Young deserved to go...I actually thought that the first team wingers will be made of Lennon/Milner/Young, with one of them and J. Cole on the bench. I'm really surprised...

Why would you not want to have him in your squad?

Ashley Young doesn't have enough International experience, and if he was ever going to get into the squad it would have needed to be at the end of last season as this season he was really quiet :(

Of course I'm not saying that JC is bad or sth like that, just...'cinema is a lie' ;) Quaresma was once king of the youtube players while playing in Portugal, but he was shite while playing in England, Spain, Italy. And still you can hear some supportets in each club saying "let's buy Quaresma, he is just like Ronaldo"...:)

Well it's not really his fault that he has inadequate experience in NT...also, remember the tournament when Walcott was called for? He haven't played even a single game in the Prem...:)

This is an awful team. The fact that the likes of Rooney, AJohnson and Baines are on form doesn't make Heskey (bag of really old potatoes), Defoe (bully striker), Carragher (deader than a dead donkey) and half of the others complete a single whole team. Terrible selection and if England goes beyond the quarter finals it'll be a shocker.

Great selection.....Lets go and win the world cup!

Capello could really have done better.
The most interesting premier league in the world and the greatest difference to its national team.

I also thought that Bale will make it, he had some kick-ass performances in the latter part of the season.

I'm sure he could have made it ...had he been English. He's Welsh!
