Subject: Capello's 30 man squad

2010-06-01 17:54:29
i would have personally added adam johnson instead of wright-phillips, the options for left wing/midfield are bare.

im glad warnock is in the squad instead of baines, leighton was awful in the friendlies he played. ;)

Walcott should have gone to South Africa definately. He's the best pace player we have in my opinion. All this bobbins about not being able to cross or whatever; Lennon is worse in that respect, and SWP certainly not better.

He's played poorly in the last 3 games but if he's going to pick players in form at least do it with a bit of consistency.

Either way, i trust Fabio *

* to get us to the final and lose on penalties.

walcott, with space to ru into- is dangeroug
walcott, with players closely marking him- useless.

*shrug* maybe, maybe not.

Who is a better impact player? Walcott over SWP and Lennon by a long shot.

I'm not talking about starting him.

yesh, walcott v a tired defence will always cause problems, but imo lennon is better all round really. and swp done more in 5 minutes then walcott done in 45 v japan so it is justified imo.

Justified in 45 minutes, i love the fickle memory of football fans :)

indeed, but THAT was the game to impress capello and to show you really want to go on that plane, and walcott was out the game.

And all others were justified on that performance? ;o)

yep, that and the mexico game.
