Actually they aren't as Liverpool flunked. :p
Oh and also they have top foreign players in their teams.

What do you guys think about England's last friendly? A bit lack lustre in my opinion.. could be because they want to avoid injuries?
is because they are shit?
or is it because a random assemblage of players in a meaningless friendly is no guide to anything?

the second option.. I thought friendlies would also boost team's morale and cohesiveness?
This was to just get acclimatised to the altitude.
they're always such a farce, mainly because the 1st 11 never play at once - that I doubt it
it was like playing a bunch of kids for them, they wouldnt have been able to get up for it and perform. We'll see on sunday, if its a close game that we win, we will do well in the whole thing, win easily and we'll struggle later with no real test to get us into the groove of things.
I really dont see why we haent had a warm up against anyone nearly half decent, egypt, japan and the equivalent of dagenham are hardly great preparation.

Caps Lock get stuck? :)
Maybe ...better than more than half of the decent teams on the FIFA rankings? :)

I dunno, maybe a side that can beat the reigning world champions?
Mexico are a good side and we did well to beat them 3-1 and they have a lot of immensely talented youngsters, especially in their attacking midfield and forward positions.

They did seem to struggle with the same problem Columbia had in the days of Valderrama though - pretty football with zero end product.
...whereas England have been the polar opposite in our last few friendlies, including the Mexico game.
aye - I'm thinking Germany.
Crap team, good results.

I have a feeling their luck may just run out in SA - imo they're in a tougher group than many people appreciate ...which could be bad news for England!
