If thats the case then surely we must have better prospects in defence? Maybe Dawson would be better? Carragher has looked past it all season, I agree Upson has not played well for us so who should play?

i agree dawson deserves a chance with terry at the back. anouther alternative is not to have the defensive line so high up the pitch because we will be done with the ball over the top.
I agree, I still cannot see how Micah Richards is no longer able to be selected. His pace would have been ideal next to Terry with Ferdinand's injury.

Spain did very well, loads of possession, loads of shots but the Swiss back 4 were amazing in that game, God couldn't have scored.

yes, the swiss have a very good manager who has won champions league titles, he knows what he is doing, plus the swiss have some great players like benoglio, leichsteiner, inler so they kould be the suprise in this WC. :)
