To be fair we haven't looked like we could beat Ghana or Germany. Lets hope for a dramatic change of form for half the team if we are going to stand a chance!

I felt there were some very encouraging signs today, Milner is a breath of fresh air and Vancian is right, actually having a winger who can cross a ball is a huge bonus. I still do not know why we did not take Adam Johnson along so we had a left footed left winger?

I'd rather be playing Germany and Argentina. Can you imagine the press if we went out to Ghana ? This way Sunday can be the heroic failure we all expect from England.
Germany lost to Serbia, who finished bottom of their group - so they have off days too. And a german has missed a penalty.
Not to mention that if Mexico can find their way past Argentina (unlikely), we've already beaten them recently in a friendly, so will fancy our chances there.

at the end of the day, we've only conceded one goal and we know what that was, we've never been behind in a game and we havent really looked like losing to anyone yet, we just look as if we cant beat anyone. I think we'll do the Germans, been better than them in recent years and they lost to serbia and just got by ghana and only looked so good against the aussies because of Cahills red.
To be fair they looked very good before Cahill's red card. Is it on BBC on Sunday because I think Jaize maybe right, they have cursed us so far on ITV, especially as the one goal we did score on ITV I managed to miss when they cut to a flaming advert! :(
Germany looked better than us in the Australia game. But the Aussies didn't turn up.
Not a chance, had we shown up we would have destroyed them. They have no flair at all. I am certain Ghana will beat them.
Not much end product from Ghana. The states have a tendancy to get results "ugly". We'll see :).
