Subject: Joe Cole?

You should all thank Hodgson really. This is what it's like to be a football supporter for 95% of teams.

sacking Roy Hodgson can't bring any good. I am pro-Hodgson anyway
2010-10-04 18:12:10
I'd be interested to hear your evidence for keeping him. It's a results game.
2010-10-04 18:29:24
What can we gain from sacking Hodgson? No-one would take over Liverpool in this state :/
2010-10-04 18:30:40
I reckon Martin O' Neill would.
2010-10-04 18:32:00
he left Aston Villa when that went just a teeny bit out of his control

He wouldn't last a day at the car crash called Liverpool :(
2010-10-04 18:34:31
I reckon the best thing for Liverpool is to sell older/expensive player, drop down a tier and train younger to rebuild really.

ive been puzzled with the defensive side of the team, we have always played with a solid back 4 and this season, carra has been awful, skrtel has been awful and johnson have been awful.

I would take the risk and give coaching L'Pool a try.

Might've hurt my reputation though. ;)

play em all in the reserves one week so they win a game and then they'll be fine

I thoroughly enjoy taunting my mate who lives in Newcastle about the sorry state of affairs in Liverpool right now. He's a huge Liverpool supporter. Even worse for him is that I won $100USD off him after betting that Blackpool would win.

Hypothetically, if Liverpool were to relegate, what would happen to the team? As far as high profile players and all? Sponsorships etc...

I honestly do not believe they will relegate with 30some matches left to play.. surely they can snap out of it? Although if they don't my mate wouldn't hear the end of it if they did!

They won't go down.

If the two dicks in charge piss of quietly all will be well. If...

John Henry and Co. have a very proven track record at the Red Sox and I think they understand the way footie works - unusual for an American - and will be able to provide the financial and more importantly administrational stability that the team needs. I mean Hicks and Gillett don't even speak to each other anymore! What a pair of egotistical blowhards!

Henry's companies look to have come through the recession with only a few hiccoughs and I think that prudence and a clear business head are what Liverpoo need right now. It will give Roy the opportunity to show what we all know he is capable of.

if they do go down, they'll do worse than what leeds did. ALL of the top players will do one and they have no youths to come in like Newcastle did last season. They'll have no team spirit, the fans will get on their back at every possible chance and their debts will just grow. Doubt they will go down, but the way everyones been picking points up, they wont have an easy season. Especially with europe.

Although they gave two very promising youths to Fulham plus cash for Koncheski and let one go to Greece and Insua to Turkey they still actually have some very promising yonger players, Ngog is still only 21 too so you are slightly wrong about the youth at the club.

It wont come to relegation anyway once Roy gets the boot, hopefully that will be before he does more damage with his wacky transfers.
