I'm getting quite in to causing pain to myself (though chillies release endorphins which are also released when you have sex, explaining why humans like hot food, no animals do) through the joy of curry eating.
Saving a journey to mexico, does anybody have any nice ideas to spice up my curries? Done the Dorset Naga but want more suffering. Anyone else out there that loves tje hottest of tje hot?

a) you're quite quite mad.
b) red chillies seem to be the way to make curries hot. paprika and pepper also help. Just chuck a load of them in.

Go to Thailand!
I thought I could handle any spicy food until I went there!

all i know is that the smaller the chilli, the hotter it is
basically if you can actually eat a dorset naga level of curry you might as well kill yourself (if you aren't already) because your mouth has had all of it's tastebuds truly forked up.
why do that to yourself? you will never taste anything again for the rest of your life!
Oh and an extra hot Phall with birdseye chilli paste and topped with fresh sliced nagas will probably do you in...
and another thing, if you think that eating curry that hot to release endorphins when bumping uglies could do the job then you are a seriously mental individual that should seek urgent medical attention - and not just for your stomach lining.

I can send you the ultimate hot chilli. Willing to stake anything on it being the hottest. KwaZulu is right about Thailand , they do have hot food. But this chilli made even a thai family cry...
I didn't think the Naga's were too bad, but then i think i chopped them too finely and cooked them too much (FYI i always add all the seeds).
I recently bought a 'chilli lover's cook book' which says nothing about how a hot chilli can cause that sort of suffering, but then i guess it would be a bit silly to admit such a thing in a chilli cook book...
I'm not sure i could deal with that sort of intensity just yet, though think i might start using the pastes and just generally more chillis; quite enjoy the birdseyes.
I enjoy a nice curry as well as plenty of 'how's your father?', it is nice to have both these in your life in abundance :)

I did once make the mistake of cutting chillis and then going to the toilet without washing my hands thoroughly first.
One of my least favourite life experiences that was.
My "gloves are for girls" philosophy changed some what. Well, from not wearing them to thinking it would probably be a good idea for the Naga's at least.
May well check that out Jim, looks good!

Try eating the Dorset Naga raw, that's a mental experience. If you want to go hotter for a curry, go for Trinidad 7 pot or the Trinidad scorpion.
I was at Brighton this w/e and tried some Naga chillie pastes - very hot. There's an awesome little shop at Brighton Marina full of sauces, dried chillies, and seeds - you can try all of them, would really recommend it to anyone who's round that way to seek it out!
Been there, it's not too far from where I live, didnae know about that shop, must go find that :)
