Having never flown with them, this is probably unfair. However, the do give the impression that they consider passengers an inconvenience, and their CEO always gives me the feeling that he'd really rather be doing something less inconvenient instead.

Michael O'Leary is either a lunatic or brilliant, can't quite work out which. Definitely not likable, but that is not relevant in terms of my spend on his product.

Proposing to charge fat people more, coin-operated toilets, standing berths etc, is probably just PR noise, but I don't really care because I travel to places I need/want to go to, generally for amounts not much more than £30 return, and that is not a service I can readily purchase elsewhere.

If I had a family, or even luggage, I would probably never touch Ryanair, but they serve my purposes admirably. If nothing else, they prove why you should always read the Ts&Cs before checking the box..

"why do you still fly with them then? Have you no principles? "

it was a business flight. £28 all in. My company has no principles.....or very good cost saving policies I let you decided. If was my choice for that trip I'd have gone BA flown night before due to flight times & stayed in a hotel.....rather than 7am - 10pm return in 1 day..,,,

guaranteed that guy was a stunt also. proper funny though.
i mean talk about joining the mile high club...with yourself... in your seat :P

but yeah in terms of them if you get it right its fine.
everything is efficient as they also do get it right as they dont have the manpower to handle a screwup.
the stuff about weighing a person is right though.
i remember i was 3kg over on a flight for my bad (20kg limit and i had 22.8 or something)
was a connecting flight so was going to have to pay twice 10 euro per kg over = 20 per kg with 2 flights = 60 quid and the flights werent even worth that (should have booked spare seat just for a spare bag>>>)
anyways i took out clothes there and then and just put them in my hand luggage.
when coming to that check (10kg limit) anyways i wasnt over, but would just have put them on, walked back through if they complained, walked around the corner and back into the bag the clothes go

makes no sense really. an overall weight fare on yourself and luggage makes more.
