Usually I would agree but I am somewhat dismayed but the current government as for the first time I can remember, I am genuinely concerned about the lack of intellect displayed by most of the cabinet ministers and the Chancellor actually seems a little, erm, slow. You would have thought that after spending that much money on education their parents would be a bit miffed that their kids turned out to be so average at best.

They current qualification is going to Etonian and being 'chummy' with Cameron. Theyre a bunch of bastards.

The haven't all been to Eton, some went to Harrow.

Sad to see that a German origin Monarchy still rules us at this day and age... What a waste of money!

And then the Royalist supporters will say they bring in the tourists. France has more tourists than us after getting rid of a costly monarchy who lives in palaces funded by taxpayers. Ask how many tourists if they ever saw a royal family member when they visit London.

But really they cost nothing. £210 million. This might sound a lot, and indeed to you or I it is tonnes but that hardly buys anything in governmental terms. It will get you 4 Eurofighter planes, considerably less than half of a teaching hospital, a day of Olympic competition or 210 metres of motorway...

Since most of the money goes back into other staff and funding architectural heritage and restoration, I think they get good value for money. I am pretty sure if we dumped the Windsor family and the National Trust took over all the palaces, it would actually cost the country considerably more!
