I think it's so people understand the more obscure odds like 7/2 and 2/1 on etc.

very silly. that is more complicated.

what is wrong with knowing that if you win at 7/2 you have won 7 back after betting 2 plus your stake money. Easy.

3.5/1 as it would have to be, 3.5 by itself means nothing. the whole notion is stupid and obviously put forward by an arse with an extra arse for a brain.

odds never come into it with me, i just know whatever i put on, i aint getting it back.
