Doesn't mention what he did with Hull City, sounds to me he used them to get the Aston Villa job.

He probably sees England as a stepping stone to better things, like Spain or Brazil.

I've seen many worse appointments (Hoddle, Keegan, Taylor, Ericsson.....need I go on???)

He's got experience of international football management, and generally has done a good job where he's been. His Liverpool management record wasn't good, but frankly Dalglish is hardly setting the Prem alight this season either.

'Arry is a great man manager, and very good on the transfer market. But we can't really buy in great Eastern Europeans for the England team can we?
