Subject: GTA V

Just about to leave the office to see if GTA V landed on my doormat today.. Just in case it didn't, I bought a spare copy at lunchtime..

Unfortunately everybody here knows I have been waiting for this, so no chance of calling in sick tomorrow.

I don't get it. The only game i have ever bought on release day was Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox. I think FF7 was the best game ever made and so i was excited about FF13 and got a special edition pre-ordered.

Don't understand all this queueing up rubbish though.

I walked in to Tesco today and they had dozens in stock. Must feel like a right mug waiting in line at midnight before surely?

I never understood those lines for new Harry Potter etc., same with new smartphones and games

I mean...why bother waiting for 8 hours just to buy a new iphone when you can order one and get it sent to you...?

I don't feel l like a mug waiting in line, because not even I would do that, however the fact that I pre-ordered a PS3 copy when I have an Xbox does qualify for a numpty award I feel...

At least I had the presence of mind to buy an Xbox copy yesterday.. Good game so far..

Been a long time since I bought a game on opening day.

I bought the Prodigy album "Fat of the land" on opening day....and ahem...pre-ordered a couple of Acorn Achimedes games a long time ago....

Perversely, starting to play GTA V has made me go back to my old games to try and finish them first.. Currently playing Borderlands and Mass Effect 2. I have about 30 other titles to complete before I play GTA again.. Some of them have never even been unwrapped.

I've still not finished chuckie egg*
