Behmen to All
Thursday begins the world cup.
who is the favorite for you?

I'd like England to do well and I have a sneaky feeling that they might surprise me (and everybody else) and reach the quarter-finals, depending if they have to play Brazil/Spain there that would be it. If they are incredibly lucky and it ends up being somebody else they could fluke reaching a semi-final and then anything could happen.

However, it also wouldn't surprise me to see us getting knocked out at the group stage as we really aren't that good and Italy and Uruguay on their day are a handful for anybody.

As much as it pains me to say this, but I reckon Argentina will lift the trophy this time around. Messi has got something he's not had in a while, a strike partner that is very good in his own right (Aguero) and that should mean that not all the defensive attention will be directed at Messi giving him more space to shine.

I see the final of South America.

Yes, it's in Brazil ;-) rotflmao ...

Tbh, that rather depends on whether Brazil and Argentina end up in the same half of the draw or not.

However, it's now looking like the first round exit for England :-(

First half looked promising, second half was dire and depressing. I think Roy has to take personal responsibility with how Rooney is being handled, he either has to play him in a position he will enjoy and prosper in, or he doesn't play him at all.

you need a draw with Uruguay and win with Costa Rica.
2014-06-20 11:50:54
Well, now that we've lost to Uruguay it's looking like an early exit for us unless Italy can beat both CR and Uruguay and we can actually beat CR. Piece of cake ... lol!

At least, we lasted longer than Spain though (not by much mind) ;-)

I might have a pizza tonight in honour of Italy. Have i ever mentioned how much i LOVE the Italian's?
2014-06-20 20:05:18
I hope you choked on that pizza ;-)

Joking aside, no disrespect intended to Costa Rica but if they can get out of that group with the players that they have. Italy, Uruguay and England can have no excuses for not doing so and yet 2 of them won't be...

Totally agree. There are no excuses.

What disappoints me are the teams I read about with midfielders in defence and virtually capless back lines, and keepers that sit on the bench all year for their clubs, they all do better than us.

Something isn't right. Somewhere.

Montengro have a population of just over 600k, when you struggle in a group in qualifiers with about 1% of the population England has then you know things are going to go well!

I have given up on England 5 years ago... the day the press stop hyping and meddling in England team it would perform better.

I think Brazil will win the cup.

my opinion, the germany is very strong, in attack there aren't "Gomez and Reus", two good players
