SO what is the second line under second place for then?
2007-11-29 19:44:54
In the lower leagues, 2 teams get promoted, it's to help push the bots to the bottom league quicker.

In the higher divs, only top goes up.

ta cartman
2007-11-30 14:20:21
A bit annoyed abuot this as I've been out-thought.

End of Over 44: 245-5, runrate=5.57
Herbert 10-0-73-0
Breen* 108 (81 balls)
Allaway 106 (111 balls)
Last Wicket: Wilmers c. Cranie b. Littlefair 18 (FOW: 30/5)

His best batsman in at number 6. A weak first 3 batsmen. He's looked at my bowlers, and seen that it's always strongest first. I deserve to lose this game, need to mix it up more.
2007-11-30 14:40:14
Yes, you do. I always looked for that when I was in a competetive league.

Today:
End of Over 50: 361-2, runrate=7.22
Lloyd 10-0-75-0
Lepolesa* 112 (101 balls)
Walters 189 (129 balls)

No way he'll get that, which all but wraps up the title for me. And as there're no playoffs in OD, I'll be back in IV next season! Go me!
2007-11-30 14:41:23
Hmm. Do-able.

End of Over 48: 271-10, runrate=5.65
Littlefair 9-0-31-6
Whyte* 5 (2 balls)
2007-11-30 14:43:26
End of Over 50: 268-4, runrate=5.36
Lomas 10-0-69-1
Evans* 14 (13 balls)
Chandler 96 (113 balls)
Last Wicket: Lucy c. Goodliffe b. Lomas 8 (FOW: 227/4)

I have a feeling I've been GFI'd, still, i'll back myself to chase that down.
2007-11-30 15:27:41
End of Over 10: 55-1, runrate=5.50, reqrunrate=5.35 (268-4)
Webb 5-0-29-0
Wilson* 31 (34 balls)
Stratford 18 (19 balls)
Last Wicket: Binns c. Evans b. Goodman 5 (FOW: 8/1)

Good start against his best 2 bowlers.
2007-11-30 15:29:02
took me 2 more overs to get there, you've got more chance than I have...

End of Over 12: 55-1, runrate=4.58, reqrunrate=5.71 (271-10)
Breen 1-0-1-0
Piper* 23 (33 balls)
Herbert 15 (27 balls)
2007-11-30 15:53:56
End of Over 17: 95-2, runrate=5.59, reqrunrate=5.27 (268-4)
Lindani 2-0-16-0
Curtis* 13 (17 balls)
Wilson 53 (53 balls)
Last Wicket: Stratford b. Davies 23 (FOW: 61/2)

I'm still 5 runs behind him, which would be a worry, but he's got his worst bowlers on now, whereas I had my best.
2007-11-30 16:02:44
End of Over 21: 114-1, runrate=5.43, reqrunrate=5.45 (271-10)
Kirk 1-0-7-0
Piper* 47 (56 balls)
Herbert 47 (58 balls)
Last Wicket: Neill c. Allaway b. Whyte 13 (FOW: 23/1)

Looking good, it's all down to what happens when I lose a wicket though.
2007-11-30 16:28:39
Cable plays outside the line, the ball takes the inside edge and bounces just short of Felcher. Ranchod looks away in disgust.

hmm...

Anyhoo :)

Game in the balance, hard and fast but cloudy. Got him all out for 267, currently End of Over 27: 130-1, runrate=4.81, reqrunrate=6.00 (267-10)
2007-11-30 16:36:39
After 28 overs, my run rate is finally the same as his, hoping to push on, and should, with 4 batters left to come in be able to win this one now, as top look like losing, I'll be 4 off 2nd and 3rd, and 8 behind 1st, who I have to play, could be close, though i'm the one with the outside chance of winning the lague after my mess up last week.
2007-11-30 16:41:03
And that's the end of the match. Pboranjing CC won by 230 runs.
Pboranjing CC 361-2
Franklands Falcons 131-10

I won.

Your "4 batters left to come in". Does this mean you are 6 down? Or, say, two down with only 6 decent bats.
2007-11-30 16:45:52
2 down, 2 batters in, and 4 more batters who haven't come in yet, meaning my No8 bats.
2007-11-30 17:07:45
For which side does he bat Cartman?
