yes - I'm in III.5 now - I merely aspire to stay there this year.

Of course if the opposition prioritise OD I could do better as I'm concentrating on FC

Looks like I started bowling well, but have now petered out a bit...

Same here. I think some people are using the tactic I used to in putting two "daywatchmen" to open so that they take some of the sting out of the opening bowlers on the other team. Best bats at 3 and 4 can then come in for the lesser bowlers.

Now, after 22 overs, my best two bowlers are taking a rest. I have my third priority bowler who is pretty decent. The last two suck. So any new batsmen will probably face one, maybe two less good bowlers.

Seems like it's worked, if that's what my oppo have done.

'daywatchmen' could be particularly effective if the opponents aren't fielding quite their A team - bound to be some low stamina about then.

I've gone for a mix - my best are at 1, 4 and 5

Mine are 2-4. One day watchman, and one guy with stupidly good concentration opening. Usually works.
