I'd argue that playing for a draw is your best option there, forget declarations !

Why?

Because if they got nearly 500 in the first innings, you are highly unlikely to get them out in a day.

Only two bats got a decent score. Thus, I only need to be lucky when those two ar in to skittle them for less than 200.

Plus, scoring four hundred at my current rate of 4 an over gives them about 10 overs to score two hundred. Might as well have an amusing crack at it, even if I end up losing.

you should work for the post office, pushing the envelope like that.

Beadle lives!

I'd far rather go for a win and lose than just not set a declaration toal and bat til the end of the day, I'm afraid.

Fair doos. You'll only go and get promoted with a n attitude like that though. Don't say I didn't warn you.
2008-01-31 12:53:24
Or relegated, but at least I won't be mid table!

Pesky mediocrity.

End of Over 36 (1 runs). Pboranjing CC: 134-4, runrate=3.72 (1st Inn: 205-10)
Trail by 92 runs. (Durrington Albion 431-10)

It might be a bit of a moot point anyway. All batsmen set to very defensive, 86 overs left. Hopefully I'll make them bat again at least, although with all my bowlers set to very attacking, it might not last long.

I think you might struggle to avoid an innings defeat there buddy.

Durrington Albion sounds familiar, are they in Cartmans' OD league or something ?

Still got super Walters at the crease, so if the other guys who aren't sure what that wooden thing in their hands is can actually keep a few balls out, it might happen.

Don't seem to be.

Stumbling towards making them bat again:

End of Over 47 (Maiden). Pboranjing CC: 160-5, runrate=3.40 (1st Inn: 205-10)
Trail by 66 runs. (Durrington Albion 431-10)
Themba 5-1-12-1
Walters* 94 (129 balls)
Hay 0 (3 balls)

I find it best not to hold my breath after the 5th wicket falls.
