I have a struggle to retain FC IIIness probably need to at least draw against 2 better sides after getting thrashed this week.

I'm doing quite well, just a little peeved I didn't manage to win the cup this season!

I feel for you as I am finding things much tougher than last season. I will be chuffed if I stay up in both divisions.

I'm glad, though. Last season was dull as ditchwater. I've dropped two of my bowlers for this game, hence the high total I have to chase. I knew it was a gamble, but I only need two points to survive in this league, and figured this game'd be a nice time to get my boys' fitness up so they'd be pretty high by the time the last match of the season comes round, by which time I'll probably be safe anyway.

I am finding that side of the game quite tactical too. As well as trying not to look a complete gimp in the works friendly league on Sundays it makes quite a challenge getting the right players on the park/field.

ive lost a playoff and been beaten on nrr in recent years and now i appear to have been unlucky again on when a team turned bot :(

As suspected, despite resting a couple of players and losing, I have secured div IV status in OD for next season, too.

I'll have an all rounder come out of training next season, so that's effectively an extra bat and an extra bowler on or near sublime fitness for the season.
Introducing a new batsman trainee next season, too, who can play once in a while when fitness permits. Exciting times for my team over the next three seasons. Might eventually be able to put out eleven trained players!

I rested several and won to remain joint second in my OD IV - putting in a few trainees and playing normal seems more effective than putting out the best and taking it easy.

I play the other guy in joint 2nd soon and I'll pull out the stops to win. My only aim this season was to finish as high as possible whilst prioritising FC survival. That's still in the balance...

I went 4th, after winning very comfortably....

I just need to beat top now, with maximum points to gurantee survival, while 5th plays 7th....

Luckily 1st has got the league won now, no matter what happens, I'm hoping for them to rest a few players, or 7th to play their best line-up.

I am in exactly the same position - 4th, but only 7 points clear after a very good draw (the sunshine saved me)

So last game I must do at least as well against the already promoted 1st than 5th does against already demoted 7th
