I'm guaranteed 2nd and can't make 1st unless I beat him today and he gets no point at all - which seems unlikely. Not too bad for a promoted side, perhaps I can promote again next year

I find it quite interesting

I have always viewed it as a beta though - they promise a better game engine soon.

nothing remains a beta for that long. if they did what sokker has done, with a match engine that involves an actual pitch (something that was being done on the spectrum), and allowed you set fields etc, then you would have a game. instead you have a stock / quality control simulator.

when they have all that it's out of beta

google have shown that beta can last forever though

I seem to have declared for 404-3
Since they have only 1 bowling point (with all their guns I am surprised despite the sunshine) I can win the league by restricting them to 279.

But should I switch the bowlers to attacking to get them out?

half the job is done - I bowled them out for 173 so they get no batting points
all I have to do is bowl them out again now

I thought I was in trouble because they went straight to 163-0 but they sagged to 227-3 at the end. They have 1 real batsman and 1 shoddy one in and then I am in the tail.

'Course I then must bat again to win since currently they have matched my 1st innings score. I was in the reverse situation in the 1st match of the season and scored 446-6 to save the draw so no counting chickens!

I nearly collapsed to a loss in reply too!

Promoted in FC at the end of last season. Puts me in IV for OD and FC but only V for T20. 151st in England, apparently.

Anyway, first FC game of the season today. Not sure what to expect, tbh.

I'd expect a lot of text with very little content.

Apart from that, obviously.

But that's all it does.

trying to do the double here - BT20 and OD. Signed a wonderful/wonderful batsman to boost the ranks - nearly 5m. Now I have 9 batsmen, 4 of them destructive and 3 attacking.
