Certainly will diminish what little interest i had in the english u-19. Pakistan is much more interesting, especially with Caliban as manager :)

I think me and MatSykes made an error in running against one another, we split most of the main-stream vote.

Still, even given that Eggy getting 100+ votes is still a decent amount, clearly he has some support.

Bizarre, because i find him an extremely irritating creature on the sledging boards.

I was thinking of grooming my 18yo for the U-19s, however with Eggy having won I can't be bothered.

Just goes to show that after Ryno, another person can get in with a block vote. Such a shame as I just don't see him doing a decent job for England.

That wasn't a block vote, you don't get block votes of 100+.

Ok, possibly not entirely. However he will undoubtably have had a group behind him (anywhere from 20-50 I suspect).

Well, he has his alliance, but I'm not sure if they all voted for him or not, I don't think they did as I know a few voted for me.

He probably gained around 20 odd votes from his alliance, and that *may* have won him the election, but there is no point in dwelling on it.

He has set up a 'brains trust' in an exclusive alliance to help him out anyway, I think Brianstar, Jon_Boy, Mat Sykes and myself have been invited. You can be certain that there will be plenty of in-depth tactical discussions there, and I'm sure Eggy will always be willing to listen to our advice within that alliance on all U-19 related issues.

You are kidding. He is a total sarge.

Look, there is nothing that can be done now.

I'm sure that he will recieve plenty of abuse during his tenure as the U-19 boss, but I for one will avoid giving him abuse and just try to help him as much as possible for the sake of the U-19 team.
