Will Bannister get me 2 million ?
2007-06-11 18:11:28
Never got round to getting rid. May as well fire him by the sounds of it.
2007-06-11 18:14:16
I dont think youd get too much for Banister but Etherington should fetch a fair bit
2007-06-11 18:15:00
I really didn't want to sell him. He's now my 2nd best bowler :).
2007-06-11 18:33:48
Bannister might raise a million, especially if you can get a prof in either primary
2007-06-11 18:41:22
Prices are crazy atm though.I manged to buy a superb bowler for 1m ages ago now their selling for 2.5-4m
2007-06-11 20:53:00
I've been tracking the market for a while, and itseems that you should buy a 17/18yo with 1 respectable primary, for around 300-500k, then sell once they hit strong or superb.

how high superb is Henson? He is looking pretty good. What nets you got him on, i'm assuming a fair few if he is fresh?

Henson would fetch a very decent amount 3m+?, Gravey would also net a nice bit of cash due to trainable all rounder potential 1.5m-2m?
2007-06-11 23:11:26
Henson popped about 2 weeks ago. He gets 5 nets 3 x batting,1 fielding and 1 stamina.

Gravey gets 5 nets too. 2 x batting, 2 x bowling and 1 stamina. When his stamina is up he will switch to fielding.

These guys are the only 2 I am training for the next 2 or 3 seasons, unless I pull a mega player from my juniors (which I would probably sell anyway!!!)

Henson is ranked for the England u-19's, but dont know where he is in the list.

Just looked and discovered that he is the third tier of 18 year old batsmen, but it is thought he would need 9-10 nets to catch the other 2 tiers up. Thats not going to happen so he basically has no chance of playing for England!!!! But at least he is on the list :)
2007-06-12 00:37:29
Yeah, the U19 seem to have a tonne of 18yo batsmen. Lucky for me, they have a real shortage of 18yo F bowlers :)
2007-06-12 00:39:57
You don't see "tonne" much these days. Good work.

*Hovis music playing in background*

Enough of this Euro-nonsense in weights and measures! Bring back pounds, shillings and pence. And tanners, farthings and guineas. All this decimal rubbish is too confusing
2007-06-12 01:06:37
:D

Aye, decimal is far more confusing than 12 inches per foot, 3 feet per yard, 22 yards per chain, 10 chains per furlong and 8 furlongs per mile. Awesome randomness shown by our ancestors.

A brilliant deterent to invasion. While they were trying to working out whether their spears weighed a pound or half a kilo, we'd nobbled them with a hundred-weight of best slinging pebble.
