Subject: Battrick

I've just relegated into Woppas' league, I'm sure I've already mentioned that. Small world.
2007-09-18 20:10:03
I got relegated, though. Does that mean we are in different leagues?
2007-09-18 21:21:50
I've had this guy for ages:

Mel Ankim - 19 yo, BT Rating=22,877
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, proficient batting form, strong bowling form, fair
A steady player with mediocre leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: competent
Batting: competent Concentration: competent
Bowling: competent Consistency: competent
Fielding: competent

He's had training in all sorts of things for two seasons and I can't get him to pop. Anyone any idea what the problem is?
2007-09-18 21:25:26
I guess so. I thought you were second.

Hmm. I'm in IV.15. You're not there.

Nah I got an easy relegation playoff, and my one of my only two batsmen got out cheaply, meaning it was almost a walkover for the other team. I really should have won it.
2007-09-18 21:35:44
That BTR isn't possible without him having higher skills than all competent, surely?!
2007-09-18 22:57:00
Well he's had loads of training, but he hasn't popped at all.
2007-09-18 23:01:33
Weird!

So what did he start his training regime on? What were his stats?
2007-09-18 23:02:49
Ermm does that 85 in your name denote the year you were born?
2007-09-18 23:06:00
You are suggesting that you allready said he never popped I guess!! So I get it, he started on those stats, I just thought I would ask as its kind of weird stats to get from a YP.

Oh, and yep its 1985.
2007-09-18 23:08:32
Then perhaps I need someone older to help me with this particular conundrum.

Who's going to concentrate on OD or FC?
Or divide your efforts?

I shall be concentrating on FC I think. Six bowlers to play the first match, wonder if that's wise
(edited)
2007-09-19 15:59:49
Yeah im going for FC as its going to be more days per week so should keep me entertained at work
2007-09-19 18:23:41
I will be playing the same team in both and will probably get 3rd in both leagues, maybe second. I will wait till next season to make a run at one of the leagues
