Subject: So what did you get?
I got:
jumpers
T shirts
Chocolate (lots of, chocolate money - yay!)
Cheap smellies - not yay.
Theatre vouchers
A super duper new camera and lenses.
Compliments on my cooking.
A bad headache.
A brewing arguement.
A pain in my right hip after falling over in an unfamiliar pub that apparently "I would love as it sells beer that is not "girl's beer""...
A continued use of ellipsis...

Everton would need to do it from 1905-2005 to get 5 matches.
A Manyoo one would only go back as far as 91 (?) - when football started (the Premiership).

You'll need a digital tuner as you'll never manage it with pitch pipes. Go to a proper guitar shop for one (I got a Korg one) as the ones in Argos are hopeless.

My main present was a Mini-DV video camera. An uncomplicated one as I'm no good at any type of photography.
Other than that, HD-DVDs, sweets, an "extremely hard" cube puzzle that I did in 5 seconds much to my daughters horror.
Spending time with family will be the best present.

I clocked that; they seem a bit hopeless! Tuned the E with the piano in the end and then went from there. I'll see if I can get one off of Ebay I think.

I knew it wasn't going to go well when my brother passed me a present and said "this is yours". I opened it, and to my surprise was a capacinno maker. I was surprised because I don't drink coffee. He then said, "oh, that's not yours, it's Alans". Daft boy has been spending too much time on auction tv channels, I am now the rather embarrased owner of a globe, with the countries (rather roughly, cornwall and norfolk don't exist in the uk, and scotland is huge) made out of semi-precious stones, roughly 39 different types in all. It stands within a gold plasticy / metal frame. Other tacky rubbish included :
3 Elvis themed fridge magnets, move within 100 yards of the box and they play 10 seconds of "the wonder of you", "suspicious minds", and "glory glory hallelujah" simultaneously. Some clever bastard at the factory appears to have wired them up so that they play every time the woman 5 doors down coughs politely, or when cars pass 3 streets away.
I "forgot" to bring these back with me, leaving them at the in-laws on the way home.
2 red t-shirts, one adult size, one 3 year old size, the adult one says "Me", the 3 year old one says "Mini Me".
A Wii Lightsabre, which sounds, and indeed, looks cool, and is probably the kind of thing I'd have dreamt about when I was 15, but it kind of gets in the way of playing the actual game, and well, I look a bit daft waving it about at 35.
Mums' traditional striped jumper. A hideous concoction of light blue and grey, made for people with biceps and bigger shoulders.
The candidate for useless technology of the year, 1998 - A USB powered picture frame. You plug it into your computer, and it shows any of the 59 pictures it can store. Kind of like a screensaver of a mobile phone then, but on your desk. Why ?
I have considered putting these crimes against taste on a photograph together, but came to the conclusion that the camera would break.
Other, slightly less tacky stuff :
A Phillips' Shaver, from someone who knows that I use disposables, and only when I have to...
Some vouchers and some cash (thank christ).
Sonic and Mario at the Olympics on the Wii.
Lego Star Wars on the Wii, which I'm told is great, but I haven't got into it yet.
Humbug, anyone ? :)

A much better haul than last year for me:
A Wii with Wii Sports, Wii Play and Metroid Prime 3
A toasted sandwich maker
A new set of speakers for my mp3 player
£45
A t-shirt
The Bourne trilogy books
A mini tripod for my camera
A weird fan thing that can display a message that you type in, a bit like this but no-where near as good.

I need a toasted sandwich maker again. A panini press is no good for a baked bean toasted sandwich.
