Norwich City have accepted an undisclosed offer from Championship rivals Wolves for Jason Shackell.

he's not getting games for us - which makes it odd that a supposedly better team are interested in him. I think Wolves are hedging their bets on thie 7 plus 5 ruling, or whatever it's called.

Southend also thought Kightly wasn't good enough, if Taff Evans has gone and scouted him, and believes he's a good player, that'll do for me, (He's the one that scouted Liam Lawrence/Dean Whitehead/Kightly and Elokobi).

We're looking for a defender who wins stuff in the air (I'm guessing by Shackells height he'll do that), and we're a little short on defensive numbers, from Norwich views so far, people are saying a move could be good for him.

Some people here claim that he needs an experienced player to play alongside in a central defensive pair, but those people still think of him as an "academy boy", one of the few we have produced since Bellamy. If you've got an old head he can play alongisde, he'll probably be good for you.

So a 20yo, who's being converted back to a Centre back, from playing as right back for 3 seasons wont fit that then....hmm.

Oh well, he'd probably reduce the average age of the team down to around 22 if he signs.

The only thing that could help, is we're looking to sign Matt Hill from Preston, and Shackell would play as the left sided centre back, with Hill at left back, and with experience it may work, still you have to back the manager to know what they're doing, well apart from Bassett, who just signed anyone out of contract.

Could be that all the lad needs is a fresh start. He was supposed to be Premiership quality by now.

But hes at Norwich...........
