can you buy booze in Quick Save then?

Yep. It's not just Waitrose that sells it. Only the spirits there are less likely to be behind a counter with security tags on them.

In my defence I have bought tickets to see them live (actually I was street team but close enough) so it's not as morally wrong.

went to see the Twang live at brixton recently. excellent gig - they are a great live band. the atmosphere was superb, and i didn't even feel old! only bad point was Little Man Tate supporting, and some other even crappier student union bar band

I had a backstage pass for that gig (or another london one, Look-See Proof were supporting) but I was in Wales so couldn't go. I'll just have to be content with getting free tickets for Bloc Party, The Cribs and Foals in December :D

Mmmm the Bloc rock.

Me and the wife will be running the risk of looking old at a gig in December, Carina Round is playing Cambridge on the 9th. But as she's just finished touring the States with Annie Lennox, there's half a chance that we might be the youngest people there.

I'm guessing it would look undignified for a 34 year old to be jumping around in a mosh-pit, right ? Better tell the wife not to then.

It isn't undignified at all! I generally do exactly that!

On a considerably more sober note.

Sex Pistols are playing the academy this week. When asking about tickets I was advised, "Under 14's to be accompanied by an adult and seated in the Circle."

The Pistols will be turning in their graves!

Anarchy in the UK? I very much mind the bollocks!

I suppose it cements their transition from angry young men to grumpy old men quite nicely.

I am going to see The NAtional tomorrow night at Shepards Bush, really pleased as I had tickets for their last tour but had to miss it as I was signing contracts on my house.
2007-11-06 19:56:39
Why couldn't you sign them in your house?
2007-11-06 20:08:10
had to go to the lawers office to sign some contracts between me and my gf so I couldn't rob her blind (i know women hey)

Drink slowly and find something to lean on!
