Subject: Jobs

Is there a blind obvious reason none of you are saying the actual company you work for?

I work in finance for a mobile phone distribution company.

Upsides:

> flexible, i turn up to work between 15-30 minutes late daily and nothing happens
> due to staff turnaround, i am the most experienced in my department out of 6 and i've been at the company 18 months
> the above could shortly lead to a pay rise

Downsides:

> the pay is poor, unsatisfactory, even tragic (see what i did there?)

> the workload is enormous.

> my boss sucks.

> my boss sucks

Depends on if it's a man or a woman surely??
Is there a blind obvious reason that you didn't give the name of your company ? ;)
Because i didn't know if it broke the rules ;o)

She's a woman, i think, i'm sure she'd suck either way.

I have a new job... i'm now a landscaper working for 'Capability Bob'... we're not pikeys
2007-05-04 20:47:08
Pikeys don't have the internet, you can't be.

unless i'm at work and using the clients computer while they're out

If I said I worked for the Isle of Man Government, nobody would believe me.
2007-05-04 22:27:16
Do you?
2007-05-04 22:31:45
Would you believe me if I said I did?
2007-05-04 22:32:41
Strangely, yes!
2007-05-04 22:45:07
that makes you very gullible then.

2007-05-04 22:46:45
what does gullible mean?
2007-05-04 22:47:45
Ok, I'll add myself.

I'm head of strategy for a global unit in a German multinational chemicals company.

Upsides:

Job title sounds snazzy
I get to travel internationally

Downsides:

Trying to explain what I actually do to people
I'm rubbbbbbbish at German...
2007-05-04 22:48:55
Surely chemicals aren't in German but in chemical notation?
2007-05-04 22:49:55
Dunno. I went to look it up in the dictionary, but for some odd reason it's not there.
