Still haven't got my answer, but I think it's because I confused trust with thrust and such.
Correct. Not meaning to take the piss too badly, because foreign languages are tough, but I'm still going to do it in this case. I'd expect you to do the same if I made a similar mistake in dutch. For instance asking my girlfriend on the phone to pass on my vegetables to her parents.

A friend of mine met her boyfriends Spanish parents, they cooked her chicken. She told them that the chicken was very nice, they fell about laughing. Turns out there's a one vowel difference between the spanish word for chicken and the spanish word for the male member.
How can I do the same if the last time seeing you talking in Dutch on the forums was like 3 months ago... lol? [/woppa]

Oxford United are 12th. Come on the U's!
I am surprised at this. I really thought it was a bit of a joke.
£35 x 50,000 members = £1.75m.
Nice 350k wedge for the creator i guess!?

how many people will actually pay up?
I might be up for it, but how will they get funds though to buy players and pay for wages etc.

I still have no idea quite how it would function, and what the members truly get for their money.
What professional footballer is going to want to have the fans decide who plays? Will there be a manager?
Maybe they will?

The manager would go to a vote, of potential candidates who have expressed a willingness to manage the team.
The manager wouldn't be forced to buy anyone, but as you see in Spain, generally if the fans want, the fans get, and it goes abpve the managers head, and that could happen, as all the fans that back a move for a player, could give a bit of extra money to sign that player!

Madness. The main thing at the moment that baffles me is the club that gets taken over.
It states on the BBC site that the members are not fussed what the club is, they just want to be part of it.
Well, as an Oxford United fan, i'm not sure i'd be making the "right" decisions for a club if it was not them?

there is an annual subscription at Barca and real Madrid isn't there
Aye, Barca have 150,000 members i believe, but i'm assuming they knew they were becoming a member of Barca, and not just a random club!?
i dunno it sound good but all these corporations taking over football is getting all to much. football is not like what it use to be its all about money and david beckhams haircut. and diving around like a bunch of fairies. i was watching that 9yo old boi hopefully he will keep his balance and the determination to stay on his feet or get back up again. but a few lessons form the king of all diving fairies c. ronaldo will soon change that :P what do everyone else think about the beautifull game nowdays and all these takeovers??? and im only 17 and seen a big cahnge in football i could imagine what it is like for some of you!
forest up to 2nd, however frankly I'd hope that our current chairman (times rich list member) would have more clout than 50,000 fools like me.
I keep thinking about joining, then thinking "£35 - and they might buy carlisle!"

when woppa was young, footballers used to wear really long shorts, have handlebar moustaches and smoke pipes.
