I'd be happy with play-offs, can see sheff U struggling with Mr. Bore at the helm, charlton for me to go up as champs, 2nd is open and any play-off contenders can grab it.

I'm unsure about leicester and coventry, they may be buying a lot of players, but are they any good, and are they motivated to go up?

They both seem to be doing what Wolves did for 7 or 8 years, and that's have prem rejects on high wages, looking for a pay day, and the players just didn't perform, i can see them both failing to hit the play-offs.

Watford should do well, as will southampton, sheff U will be there, but i can see wednesday finishing above them, with cardiff sneaking the last PO spot.

wolves, watford and saints to fight for 2nd.

Gary Holt update :

Now moving to Wycombe.

It'll take him a while to get there from Nottingham at the rate he moves.

Joey barton is a TRUE Toon player getting injured before his first season has begun. familiar sinking feelings....
2007-07-23 20:05:17
Why was he being given a captain's armband btw?
2007-07-23 20:33:30
because big sam is sleeping with Joey's mum and he promised her...

band should go to Solano!
2007-07-23 20:35:01
I think given will get it, unless sam brings in a defender that could do the job, don't think solano is the sort of person to be captain tbh.
2007-07-23 20:36:52
why? huge experience, all team respect him, big favouorite with fans, good understanding of defense and midfield. Keeper as Captain? not so sure it works, as there is always friction with defenders & keeper, which would be inappropriate for the captain
2007-07-23 21:07:29
I just don't think he is the captainy type, also I prefer to have central defs/mids as captain, hate wide players and strikers having it, and full backs aint too bad.

Wolves have just announced a partnership with a top league Indian side.

Quite pleased about that, hopefully shirt sales increase!
2007-07-30 16:03:07
More likely to be some kind of loan / feeder club arrangement, I'd imagine. Still, long term, if their players play for you, yes, shirt sales.
2007-07-30 16:08:56
Don't worry i'm not expecting the whole indian nation to start wearing Wolves shirts.
2007-07-30 17:15:37
is that warwicksire wolves cricket club?
2007-07-30 17:30:46
That'd be like the whole of the West Midlands eating Curry or something, never going to happen.

Oh.
2007-07-31 18:45:31
They are the Bears, forestman.
2007-08-01 09:59:57
Wolves are wolves not bears.
