> waiting to order a drink at a bar, only to be obviously ignored by the barman/maid after clearly waiting longer than the other people waiting.
Annoys me for two reasons:
1. that the other people who knew they were behind me in the queue didn't have the courtesy to point the thick barman/maid in the right direction
2. the barman/maid not being attentative enough to do their job properly.

They are barmen/maids, do you really think they would be doing that if they had any ounce of intelligence?(unless they are 21 or under and doing it part-time)
Things that annoy me?
people in the army moaning about having to fight in Iraq, it is their job!
constantly having global warming shoved in my face.
Every decent job requires experience in it, so how the hell do you get experience then?
People that think any other opinion apart from theirs is obviously wrong, and are unwilling to listen to what someone else might think.

If it's a summer job, be prepared to accept *any* job. Most of the time they aren't as bad as you think they are, and even if they are tediously dull and boring you've only got a month or so doing the job.
That being said, I spent a year after uni looking for a job in what I wanted to be doing, and was being declined for similar reasons. In hind sight, if you get the opportunity to do a "sandwich" year as I think they call them, with a job between the 2nd and 3rd year, you should definitely take it.

If it's a job worth having, generally it's been promised to the bosses' son or an etonian astrophycisist with a double first from oxbridge.
Which leaves the jobs that the rest of us do. The first job after uni is generally random in nature unless you're willing to write a colossal amount of cvs and applications, in which case why are you on here, and can determine your future career dependant on which industry you end up in / whether you end up with a mortgage and kids.

I have applied for the sandwich year, and have applied for work experience at various places, that could then be classed as experience.
It just annoys me, that when looking for jobs that could actually help me, as money wise I have saved up enough to not require a job that is just for the money, that every advertisement I see requires experience, I'll still apply, safe in the knowledge that they just wont reply.

it's not what you know, it's who you know. if, like most of us, you don't know anyone, you're buggered.
constantly having global warming shoved in my face
Is global warming related to these floods? There is a historical building i live near that has a mark made in the 19th century from floods, (i live in Abingdon by the way) and the floods we have just had do not come close to that level. There were no cars in the 19th century to affect global warming.
Nature is ever changing, and no human can influence it in my opinion.

No, that's global wettening.
In other words, yes, totally agree with you, global warming is a symbiotic relationship between a government eager to create a media-driven panic (which is good for the economy), and a scientific community eager to make money from research.

We are in the process of employing a graduate for a plastics manufacturing plant, working in the supply chain office (I finally get my own bitch!).
I have been helping to write the advert and job criteria along with my boss.
He started of asking for so much; an engineering degree, sales experience, telephone experience, plastics/chemistry knowledge, business knowledge & experience, supply chain experience.
In the end we got it down to Business degree (BA preferred) with some sales experience and a good telephone manner. The whole chemistry / engineering degree was dropped in the final advert.
Employers often ask for a lot more than they actually need, especially from graduates. So basically just apply for them, you may be the only one that does!

I'm 'king annoyed with everything basically, that's my stance.
14yo pregnant chavs, knife-carrying lunatics screaming under my window every night, superbikes, souped up Integras, bad music, television, ex-gf, flatmate's burping madness, 'can I buy a ciggie from you?' (what, do i look like an offlicence?), colleague opposite my desk constantly picking his nose, my boss's strained laughter, people in corporate pr, journalists, talk, hope, optimism, satisfied people (I'm afraid them).

When applying for a job target your CV specifically for whatever role it is you're applying for. Don't have a blanket CV that you send off to everyone as that won't work.
Check over every single point in their list of requirements and write your CV to basically say you do that, if you can. Exaggeration isn't always a bad thing.
If you think you fdon't nmeet the requirements, so what. Target your CV and apply for the job anyway. Worst thing that can happen is you don't hear anything back.
Things that annoy me:
1) Clients;
2) Other drivers and their effect on the outer lane of the motorway. How comes it's always the first lane to slow down?
3) More clients.
