He was faster than all the other 9 year olds, plus he's going to grow a fair bit in 10 years!

He's not much cop. One decent two-footed tackle and then lets see his twinkletoes. He wouldn't last a minute in our 5-a-side games; he'd get smashed into the side-wall and spend the next hour crying and picking sand out of the cuts in his knees.

To be fair to the lad, he did get floored/fall over a couple of times, got back up and still got the ball.

I't s a bit tough on the kid questioning whether he'd cope with the physical side of the game when he's a good 10 years off full maturity.

Rubbish, they grow up quick these days. Look at Rooney, his knuckles already hit the floor by the time he was 12. Although to give all you budding footie scouts a nod, he does have a very silly name that will be remembered so who knows?
