Subject: computer help

I downloaded something before, but I deleted it, and I know need it again, it was a piece of free software which allowed you to record a sound from your computer, anyone got any clues what it may be, or at least if anyone has a piece of free software that does the same job?

windows media player would allow you to do that, wouldn't it ?

Audacity does that, and it's free.

Whenever I shut my PC down, I get a dialog box thingy that says some gibberish about some file called rundll32.exe and I have to "end task" before it'll shut down. I suspect it's making my CM 01/02 not work, too.

Any boffins out there know what the hell I am on about?

You're using a 64 bits version of Windows?

In Task Manager, how much Mem Usage does it use? Is it around 31,500k?

It could be that it's been infected by a virus or worm. Check it out on that page you were just given by luut.

That rundll file is a Windows file and it sounds corrupted.

You might need a registry fix (like the one i gave WDP to fix his Paint ;o)) or perhaps run some checks for worms etc as Fatkev says.
